Samer Alhato, a leader for National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), recently displayed hate and disrespect towards United State veterans. Samer Alhato is expected to be speaking at the NSJP 2018 conference. He has a long history of anti-Semitic and hateful behavior. In 2015, Alhato was an activist with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Saint Xavier University (SXU). On October 29, 2017, Alhato led a workshop at the 2017 NSJP conference. Since then he has continued to spread hate while masking it as Palestinian activism. NSJP will host its eighth annual conference on November 16-18 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Samer Alhato was nearly expelled from Saint Xavier University for his violent and hateful behavior. According to Alhato, one of those instances was when he tweeted, “Fuck veteran’s day.” Members of the campus community pressured Samer Alhato to make an apology. Two years ago, he apologized for his statement. Now he is revoking his apology and stating that it was fake.
Samer Alhato has a long history of anti-Semitic and hateful behavior. These new posts add to an extensive list of egregious posts from the NSJP activist. Samer Alhato has also tweeted insensitive post regarding the 9/11 attacks on America. Samer’s disgusting rhetoric should not be welcome on UCLA’s campus. What will it take for NSJP to condemn Samer Alhato’s horrendous attacks?
